The client wanted a complete backyard visualization to begin the process of overhauling the existing yard. She wanted planting areas, a tree house, outdoor dining and hang-out options, and a place for an outdoor kitchen.

The project also included a site visit and renderings of the renovation from various perspectives.

The owner of a D.C. row house had a tight backyard space and a rough idea of what he wanted but needed help designing it, bringing it to life, and visualizing the concept for his contractor to build from.

We played with a couple of ideas before going with a three-level approach that best utilized his space.

CONCEPT DESIGN & HISTORIC REMODEL

FACADE OPTION #2

The client was looking for design ideas for a remodel of a historic, downtown building and needed someone to help convey these ideas visually. Using Sketchup, I created a 3D model of the original building, built from CAD plans. Through collaboration with the client, contractor, and owner, we came up with simple, cohesive solutions using painted brick, window, and awning treatments that fit within their budget.

They were looking for a "rough" & "sketchy" feel over a realistic rendering since it was an early concept presentation

This client wanted multiple lounging areas with a primary focus on their custom, raised-bed flower garden. The layout reflected the architecture of their home with a clean, modern aesthetic, incorporating corten steel edging and decomposed granite garden paths.
