BIography

Bill was born and raised in Central New Jersey along Route 1, an area starved for creativity and inspirational design. It was in these strip malls and sterile housing developments where Bill learned firsthand the power of design. How the things that surround your everyday life can impact your spirit and define a part of who you are. Bill's sensitivity to poor design is the inspiration behind his design career. He decided very early on to focus his passion for drawing and his borderline obsession for detail on improving the design of our built environment.

Bill has since discovered a new world of inspiration having spent most of the past 15 years living in and exploring the Northwest with his beautiful wife Sue Thurston. They met somewhere in South Dakota on the Amtrak while moving cross country.... an appropriate start given their love of travel.

An avid snowboarder who at one time raced competitively, Bill now enjoys his casual central Oregon powder days. In 1992-1993, Bill trained at Carrabassett Valley Academy, Maine with some of the greatest skiers and snowboarders in the sport. Bill started snowboarding over 20 years ago and has been immersed in the skate/surf/punk culture since the eighties. Nurtured by long time friends, teenage mentors and punk icons The Bouncing Souls, Bill quickly absorbed the art of creative determination and the importance of following your heart.

Bill has been involved in addressing environmental issues for years, occasionally working with the Sierra Club, and in 2007, he Started a volunteer organization in Oregon. He is currently the anonymous executive director.
